The Antares Condo Showflat Launch

Post by Evenstar » Sun Jul 07, 2019 10:13 pm

The Antares is a new residential development in District 13, at Mattar Road, off Aljunied Road. It is a mid-size project, slated to accommodate only around 250 apartments, so it is quite exclusive. This Mattar Road Antares condo is being constructed by a joint venture of 3 partners: Keong Hong Holdings, TA Corporation, and Hock Lian Seng Holdings.

What is interesting about this project is that it sits right next door to Mattar station, on the new Downtown MRT line. You can't possibly get any closer than that, without sitting on top of the station. The neighbourhood is a small one, comprising mainly a church, and a couple of rows of private landed houses, and a school just around the corner, the Canossa Convent Primary School. This precinct is somewhere between Paya Lebar and Potong Pasir / Bidadari estates, both of which are growth areas under the URA master plan.

Response at the upcoming Antares showflat launch is expected to be quite good. For one thing, there are not many units for sale in this project, only 250 units. For another, there are hardly any competing new launches in the immediate vicinity. The nearest are possibly Park Place Residences at Paya Lebar Quarter, which is practically sold out, at coming to close to $2,000 PSF, and the launches at Potong Pasir and Woodleigh. But those are not that close by, for those who have family in the surrounding estate.

For those who are keen to take a look at the Antares showflat when it finally launches for sale, appointments can be made in advance. The VIP Preview is likely to take place sometime in the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2019. However, given the small size of the project, the developer is in no hurry to sell, so they might possibly delay the launch further.
