looking for a decent place to stay

Hi! This is Kevin from Macau. I'll be coming over to Singapore to take my 2 yr course at SAE Institute on the 27th of this month. Unfortunately I haven't yet found a suitable place to stay during my time in SG, so I hope that someone here would be willing to help me out =). I would prefer a place closer to city centre and my affordable price range is $400 to $800. Highly appreciated! =)
